folder: components\com_virtuemart\themes\default\templates \common\

find virtuemart url, and change with your own link

This is a tutorial step to activated Related Product on Virtuemart.

Go to Virtuemart component menu
Select the List Product sub menu
Select the product from list
Go to Related Products Tab
Search products or category product on the left combo box
Select your desired product to related with selected product

How to set a featured product on Virtuemart?
This is the step.

Go to virtuemart control panel on your joomla
Select the Product sub menu then select List Product
Select your product that you want to create as feature product
Select the Product Status tab
Mark the "On Special" check box
Save

That product will be appear as a feature product

How To Install Joomla Extension

This is a step tutorial to install new extention on Joomla.

Login to your Joomla administrator control panel
Go to Extention menu
Select Install/Uninstall
There are 6 tabs on Install/Uninstall sub menu. Select the Install Tab
Joomla provide 3 installation source, by package file, by directory (local file), and by URL
After selecting installation method, just click install to finish

Uploading A Package File
You can get package file from this link. After downloading the file to local store, select the file by using the browse button, then open the file and click install button to install the extension

Install From Directory
ust write the source directory path on the text box, then click install

Install from URL
ust write the source URL on the text box, then click install

Customizing Customer Information

I found so many people want to change the Customer Information on Virtuemart order detail appearance.

This is the standard appearance for customer information from Virtuemart 1.1.3

If you see the label information for 'bill to' and 'ship to' information, both of them were right aligned. So, this is the step to change the label to left aligned.

Open 'account.order_details.tpl.php' from directory:

domain public folder/components/com_virtuemart/themes/default/templates/pages/

Go to line 103 (if you didn't make any modification for this file before), change the align="right" to align="left"
This will make the 'Bill to' label changed to left aligned.
Do the same step on line 139 to make Ship to label changed to left aligned.

Login to your joomla administrator
Go to Virtuemart component
Select Virtuemart Admin Configuration

Unmark the 'Show footer' checkbox

To create a menu, you need to type 4 item:

Title
Description
Module title

Type your menu configuration as you like. For Module title, you can type "mod_mainmenu" for the joomla standard main menu.

Site

Set you website for online or offline by choosing radio button No or Yes on the Site offline setting. If you choose No, it means that your site is appear online to everyone. Yes means your site is offline, and nobody can't access except administrator
If you set your website to offline, you can can write an information by write it on "Offline message".
Your site name will be appear on the top left of your browser. For example if you type "Adobe" on your Site Name, on the top left of your browser will appear Adobe, as this site.
You can edit your website script using Default WYSIWYG Editor on the site configuration

Metadata Setting

Put the Global Sit Meta Description of your site, for example "Joomla! - the dynamic portal engine and content management system"
Then put your Global Site Meta Keyword, for example "joomla, Joomla"
Make option for Title and Author for Meta Tag by selection radio button

SEO Setting
Select the radio button SEO setting to configure your website SEO. This is very important to make your website appear on the search engine. If you want to use another component for SEO, you can download at the Joomla Extension Directory.

Joomla Installation

Follow this step to install Joomla on local server using XAMPP

Make sure that you have xampp installed on your computer with MySQL service enabled
Extract Joomla file on C:\xampp\htdocs\(put your extracted joomla folder here)
So on your window explorer directory will show C:\xampp\htdocs\joomla\
Open the joomla folder using window explorer, and there will appear folders named administrator, cache, components, images, includes, language, libraries, logs, media, modules, plugins, templates, tmp, and xmlrp. And also some php files named CHANGELOG, configuration, COPYRIGHT, CREDITS, index, index2, INSTALL, LICENCE, and LICENCES. A PHP-DIST File named configuration, and Text Document named htaccess and robots.
Open your browser (internet explorer, mozilla firefox, google chrome or opera), and type on address bar localhost/joomla
